Hailing from County Cavan, Darren is unlike most Cavan men because he no longer has any of his Communion money. Darren is making his way up through the Irish comedy scene having performed at most of the top clubs in the country and has supported some of Ireland’s finest comedians including David McSavage, John Colleary and Al Porter.

He came third in the 2025 final of Ireland's biggest comedy competition Show Me The Funny, and also made it to the final of the Cherry Comedy Breakout Act of The Year and Bray New Act of the Year.
